The Jewish people need words of comfort and the gospel now more than ever.

 

Beth Ariel Ottawa is growing, and so are the opportunities God is giving us to serve people, reach the Jewish community, and bring the hope of Yeshua throughout Ottawa and beyond.

At present, transportation is one of the greatest obstacles preventing new people, includingf Jews and Gentiles curious to know more about Jesus,  from attending our services and participating in congregational life.

 

A dependable passenger van would help us overcome that barrier while greatly expanding our ability to serve, minister and share our faith.

How Would We Use the Van?

​

• Bringing people to our services
  Some people living in Ottawa’s east end, west end and surrounding communities would like to attend Beth Ariel but do not have reliable public transportation. A van would allow us to pick them up, bring them to services and safely return them home afterward.

​

• Reaching the Jewish community
  A clearly marked Beth Ariel Ottawa van would provide a visible Messianic Jewish presence throughout the city. Simply driving or being parked in a Jewish neighbourhood could cause people to notice our congregation, ask questions and begin meaningful conversations about Yeshua, Israel and the Jewish roots of biblical faith.

• Taking Jewish evangelism beyond Ottawa
  The van would allow a team from Beth Ariel to travel together to Toronto, Montreal and other communities for Jewish outreach, special events and ministry opportunities.

​

• Attending prayer gatherings and marches
  We could transport members of our congregation to prayer events, marches for Israel, unity gatherings and other occasions when believers come together to stand publicly for God’s purposes.

• Participating in conferences and ministry events.

​

• Attend conferences, leadership gatherings, worship events and other opportunities for teaching, fellowship and spiritual growth.

​

• Providing practical help
  When appropriate and consistent with our charitable mission, the van could help congregation and community members facing genuine needs, including transporting essential items or assisting with a small move.

• Increasing our visibility throughout the city.

​

• A branded van would serve as a travelling sign—letting Jewish and Gentile residents know that a vibrant Messianic congregation exists in Ottawa.

 

What Kind of Van Are We Seeking?

We are hoping that an individual, family, business or automobile dealership might donate all or part of a dependable passenger van—something similar to the Ford Transit pictured on this page.

 

The van could be:

​

• New or gently used

• A few years old and in dependable condition

• Configured to carry approximately ten people, including the driver

• Mechanically sound and unlikely to require significant immediate repairs

• Suitable for city transportation and occasional longer ministry trips

​

A van of this size would give us the passenger capacity we need while remaining practical and manageable for our ministry. The final vehicle configuration, licensing, insurance and safety requirements would be confirmed before it is placed into service.

Beth Ariel Ottawa can provide an official charitable donation receipt for the eligible amount of a qualifying donation, in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements. For a donated vehicle or other non-cash gift, the eligible receiptable amount must be based upon its properly established fair market value at the time of donation.

 

More Than a Vehicle

To us, this would be far more than simply owning a van. It would mean that someone without transportation could finally attend a service. It would mean that a ministry team could travel together to share the Good News. It would mean greater participation in prayer gatherings, conferences and events supporting Israel. It could even mean that someone notices the name Beth Ariel Ottawa on the side of the van and begins asking questions that lead to a life-changing encounter with Yeshua.

Our mission is to lead Jewish people to Yeshua and the Church back to Israel. A passenger van would become a practical and visible tool for fulfilling that mission.
